The charity auction began on the night of the opening at the gallery space on 414 West Broadway. Attendees had the chance to bid on artworks by artists such as Simon Cruz, Flore, and Mr. Brainwash. Funds will continue to be raised throughout the duration of the exhibition to activate the spirit of giving back through art.

Influencers, musicians, fashion designers, and brands came out to support the cause. As this partnership continues to grow, sponsorship opportunities will be available and tailored to fit a variety of different networks to ensure everybody can contribute. Information can be requested by contacting Lush Art Agency founder Soli Corbelle.

Corbelle candidly exclaimed “the reason that we decided to donate to The New Sanctuary Coalition is because I was watching the news one day and they were doing a story about a group of men that were being deported to Guatemala who were ex MS-13 members here on asylum.”

She then went on to say “it was heartbreaking to watch one of them giving his last words because the moment that he lands on Guatemalan soil, he will be executed by the gang. My parents are also immigrants, alongside most of my family. If i was a child during this time, I could very much be affected similar to those who are being taken away from their families unjustly under today’s administration.”

Soli Corbelle’s love for art and giving back have reached new heights in 2020. The Lush Art Agency is something you will want to look into the next time you visit NYC.

Meet the remarkable Soli Corbelle.

A hotshot New York Art Dealer making a name for herself right now using her talents to leave a lasting impact on the art community. The 28-year-old New Yorker was introduced to the art world at a very influential age. Growing up in a household made up of collectors and visiting weekly history classes at the Metropolitan Museum of Art sparked a unique flame in her that never died.

At 15, Corbelle began generating experience with various auction houses, museums and galleries, jumpstarting her career in art. Eventually, Soli connected with Phillips, Sotheby’s, Marlborough Gallery and Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, which led to her working with Manolo ValdesJack Tworkov, and Harry Bertoia. Her hard work never went unnoticed and she consistently figured out ways to reinvent herself.

By the age of 25, Soli became a director of the New York flagship of Galleries Bartoux, an international gallery with over 15 locations worldwide. Two years later, her hard work finally paid off. She left to work as a private advisor for distinguished collectors across the globe, which led to the launch of her new venture, LUSH Art Agency.

With a new Art Agency under her belt, this New York creative is reaching new heights as professional. The Lush Art Agency is opening galleries in Dallas, Los Angeles and A Coruña (Spain) in 2020 and will be a premier art agency to be on the lookout for.

When asked about what is next, Soli responded:

“The next exhibition will take place (a group show) in January 2020 in the Tribeca Location. Following that we are participating in Zona Macó in Mexico City in February and have the launch in April of an exhibition through 11-7 Projects.”

As Soli Corbelle continues to shake things up in the art world, she plans to take over the game in 2020! Follow the journey for daily updates and more on Instagram.

LUSH Art Agency and The New Sanctuary Coalition Join Forces to Fund Immigrant Families Facing Deportations

by Patty Rizzo January 23, 2020

The new year started off on a benevolent foot at 414 West Broadway on Saturday evening.

Soli Corbelle, art dealer and founder of LUSH Art Agency, hosted a charity event that featured artworks by Andy Warhol, Mr. Brainwash, Simon Cruz and other artists. Influencers, musicians, brands, and patrons gathered at the intimate space in SoHo to network and bid on paintings, while most importantly, supporting a good cause.

The funds were being raised for The New Sanctuary Coalition, a non-profit organization that helps immigrant families affected by deportations and communities resisting detention for the sake of remaining together.

The cause hits close to home to Corbelle because she herself is an immigrant in America along with her family. “If I was a child during this time, I could very much be affected similar to those who are being taken away from their families unjustly under today’s administration,” she says.

She recalls watching television one day and seeing ex MS-13 gang members being deported to Guatemala after being granted asylum in the United States. The ex-members knew that once they stepped foot in Guatemalan soil, the gang would kill them. Because of the lasting impression that had on her, she decided to work closely with The New Sanctuary Coalition.

According to pewresearch.com, about 10.5 million unauthorized immigrants make up the population in the United States, with New York, Los Angeles, and Miami containing the largest populations.

In 2019, ICE deported nearly 86,000 immigrants, a 10% drop from 2018’s fiscal year. Non-profits like The New Sanctuary Coalition work to keep deportations low and accompany people facing deportation to their immigration hearings and ICE check-ins. The funds LUSH raises with the sold artworks will help cover underlying costs.

Corbelle has extensive knowledge and experience in the art world, beginning her career at age 15 at auction houses, museums and galleries. Her collection ranges from pre- war contemporary works by Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons and Kaws, to contemporary ones by Loes Van Delft and Mr. Brainwash. She has built expertise in advising private collectors around the world, and served as a Director of the New York flagship of Galeries Bartoux before launching LUSH Art Agency.

While most artworks range in price, sponsorship opportunities are available and tailored to fit a variety of budgets to ensure everybody can contribute to the cause. The funds will be raised throughout the end of the exhibit.
